Sharing Pregnancy with my Friend Ann & Cousin Lisa

Here are a couple of photos with my pregnant friends:) The one on the top is with my good friend Ann (from high school) who is due just a few days before me - she's expecting her second boy! This photo was taken before a 50th anniversary party for her parents and we are almost 25 weeks pregnant.

My cousin Lisa is also expecting at the end of September. Here we are at her house yesterday after she and some of my aunts did some baby shower planning. I'm goofing around sticking out my tummy a bit so I'm not quite that big (almost 27 weeks here). Lisa already has a 3 year old daughter and will find out what she's having this time two weeks from today!

24 Week Doctor Visit

Michaella and baby had a good 24 week doctor visit today. I gained 3 pounds the last month for a total of 8 so far. Baby's heart rate was around 140 beats per minute and my belly measurements were right on:) I go back on May 5th for a regular check up (and a gestational diabetes test). After that, visits will go to every other week (yikes, that means the due date is getting closer)!
Dan and I also signed up this past week to start some in-home birthing classes with a woman who was recommended by our midwives. She's teaches all kinds of birthing options, including natural birth/HypnoBirthing which we are leaning towards doing. Our classes start with Molly on May 13th.
We're also seeking some input on some one or two syllable names for the baby's middle name (we know....it's hard not knowing what our first name choices are). Any ideas?

Fontenelle Forest Hike

Dan and I took our first 2008 hike (and baby's first hike ever:) this past Saturday at Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue. It was the first warm spring day in Omaha. Unfortunately it's back in the 40s today. I'm just over 24 weeks pregnant in these photos.
